Angela Cerrito is an author and playwright. She graduated from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Angela has lived in several states in the US as well as in China, Germany and Italy.
Her debut novel, The End of the Line, won several awards including VOYA's top of the top shelf and YALSA quick pick. Her forthcoming novel, The Safest Lie, was inspired by Irena Sendler's child rescues in the Warsaw ghetto. The Safest Lie is based on research in Warsaw, Poland that was made possible through SCBWI's Kimberly Colen Memorial Grant.
Angela serves as the Assistant International Advisor for SCBWI and co-organizer of SCBWI at the Bologna Children's Book Fair. She is a member of ALAN, Willamette Writers and Write Club. For the past several years, Angela has been a judge for the Young Adult Fiction Festival in Paris, France. She has presented on writing, literature and the Warsaw ghetto child rescues for small community groups and for larger organizations and festivals.
